SME Employer Networks

If you are a small gas or waste management business with up to 250 employees, and are interested in growing your business, either to become more effective in what you currently do, or to break into new markets....this new initiative is for you......but we need your help!

Energy & Utility Skills (EU Skills) is in the process of securing £1.4m investment from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills to develop a tailored, cost-effective solution for small businesses in the gas and waste management industries. Our short term aim is to pilot six SME Employer Networks that will help your business increase business growth and maximise the opportunities that exist in other markets such as Green Deal and renewable technologies. The locally based Networks will drive access to and ownership of skills solutions and establish a sustainable training framework for the future. Membership of the Networks will be paid for in the first year and membership fees will be agreed for benefits in subsequent years.

To ensure that the Networks are relevant to both gas and waste management industries, EU Skills has developed a short questionnaire to capture your views. The deadline for completion of the questionnaire is 14th June 2012.

All information collected will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will not be attributed to an individual or organisation. EU Skills would however like to contact you to follow up on your views and to invite you to join a discussion forum to help shape the Networks further. Please fill out your e mail address where requested if you are happy for us to contact you following completion of the questionnaire.
