Vote for Kids on November 8

Organization Sign-Up

Thank you for your interest in becoming a co-sponsor of the Vote for Kids campaign. The Campaign seeks to put children and youth at the top of the public agenda in the 2011 County elections. Through the Campaign we will build public support for the role of governments in helping young people thrive. Specifically we will educate the public and candidates about current issues affecting our young people and increase the number of child advocates who come out and vote. With your support we will:

~ Register new voters

~ Mobilize child advocates

~ Publicize candidates' survey results

~ Promote the Vote for Kids campaign

* 7. To make the Vote for Kids Campaign as powerful as possible, we ask your organization to commit to certain activities and to collect numbers on the extent of your efforts.
Our agency/organization commits to the following activities in support of the Campaign:

Register voters and track numbers of voters registered (Required)
We will ask you to report electronically the number of voters you register each week of the Campaign.

Collect names and emails for new and existing voters who sign up to be "a voice for kids." (Required)
We will ask you to collect names and email addresses so we can demonstrate how many people care about children and youth issues, and so we can remind people to vote and send them alerts about important issues affecting children and families.

Distribute and track numbers of voter education materials
To make our campaign as powerful as possible, we will ask your agency to distribute voter education materials that we will provide, and to count how many you distribute in order to show how many people the Campaign reaches.

Publicize and promote the Campaign
Post Campaign information in your agency newsletter, website, Facebook page, Twitter feed,etc.

Make candidate survey results available to constituents
After WCA completes the candidate questionnaire, your agency will be asked make the results available in your offices and on your website.

Host staff training on voter registration by WCA
If you are interested, WCA staff can come to your agency and teach your staff on how to register voters as a non-profit.
