BRK8: CHRONIC DISEASE RISK AMONG ADULTS WITH CP: THE ROLE OF PREMATURE AGING, OBESITY, AND SEDENTARY BEHAVIOR

Learning Objectives:
1) To describe the extent of sedentary behavior in CP as compared to a typical inactive adult.
2) To discuss possible etiologies of muscle pathology and metabolic decline associated with sedentary behavior, including losses of function and mobility, decreases in muscle quality, alterations in adipose tissue deposition and distribution, and chronic, aberrant inflammation.
3) To define possible strategies for ameliorating health risk through reducing sedentary behavior in CP.
