. I have a tree structured UI that displays 'things that can be enabled/disabled' as nodes. You can trigger an action against a node by selecting the action from a 'right-click' menu.
Should I allow the user to select multiple items from this tree to act on at the same time?

. If multiple selection of nodes is preferred, how would you deal with following situation:
The user has selected multiple nodes. Some of them are enabled and some are disabled.

present a single action in the menu, which is disabled.
present a pair of actions which forces all selected nodes to the described state... regardless of initial state
present a pair of actions which are enabled and display an error message when triggered
