Program Speaker: Timothy D. Lynch P.E., NYC Department of Buildings [DOB], Director Forensic Engineering Unit.

An in depth look at the importance of creating a historical profile of a building or site before the start of any construction work. Through web based assessments and research, Dept. engineers will detail how to reveal previous work history at a site and determine the previous violations and structural conditions of neighboring parties. How these factors can impact a building’s structural condition will also be discussed.

Building collapses will also be discussed.
