Serving RI Week Registration
Serving Rhode Island Week, April 17-24 -- REGISTRATION FORM
Please SIGN-UP for one or more to the following service projects for Serving Rhode Island Week. Each of these projects have a range of light to heavy duty physical work requirements.
We will be in contact with you for communicating information and project details up to the time of service project.
We encourage workplace and/or community group TEAMs to register. (Form your own team.)
Please remember that EACH PERSON signing up to volunteer for a service project MUST COMPLETE a separate registration form. That means EACH member of a family and/or team needs to complete this form.

Service Project Descriptions:
(1) Roger Williams Park Clean-Up will need 200 volunteers to clean the water's edge around the pond, removing litter and debris. Gloves and tools will be provided.
(2) Edgewood Family Center needs 20 volunteers each day to paint and renovate this center in Cranston. Center will be place for teaching music lessons to youth after school and hosting senior center activities during the day.
(3) E-Waste and Rebuilding Together at the RI Community Food Bank (200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI) needs three shifts of volunteers to assist in sorting recycled computer parts and other electronic devices AND paper recycling. A large paper shredder will be on premises so that the shredding of confidential documents dropped off can be observed on the spot. 50 volunteers are needed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon; 25 Volunteers are needed from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 PM; and 25 are needed from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
(4) Come and be part of a human fish ladder at Omega Dam in East Providence. Herring (Buckeyes) need help getting over the dam to Omega Pond and sections of the Ten Mile River where they spawn.
Serve Rhode Island is partnering with several organizations to sponsor these projects during Serving Rhode Island Week: Rebuilding Together Providence, Providence City Parks Department, Rhode Island Bass Federation Nation, Ocean State Environmental Education Collaborative and members of Rhode Island AmeriCorps teams.
