2.Introduction
Surf Life Saving is exploring interest from within the lifeguard industry for a National Lifeguard Championships (NLC’s), much similar to the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships (Aussies) - although on a much smaller scale!
Initial feedback indicates lifeguards from around Australia are keen to compete for national titles against their industry peers.
Participation would be targeted at lifeguards from local government in-house or contracted services (i.e. Manly Council Lifeguard Service or Australian Lifeguard Service, Pittwater Council).
This (really) short survey will further explore interest within the lifeguard industry, the make-up of the NLC (types of events etc) and timing - it'll take less than 5 minutes to complete!
Along with this survey a ‘Lifeguard Sport Advisory Panel’, made up from lifeguards with aligned interest in lifeguard sport, will provide advice, support and leadership in the development of this concept.
