Strengthening Communities Initiative 2010
Nonprofit Boot Camps

Thank you for your interest in the Center for Nonprofit Management's Nonprofit Boot Camps. The Boot Camp Cohorts in each of the targeted areas (South Los Angeles, Eastern Los Angeles County, and Asian Pacific Communities in and around Downtown LA) will consist of 12 organizations. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Note: A $50 registration fee is required if you are accepted to participate.

Boot Camps sessions will discuss the following topics and are identical for each area:
Session 1: 10 Steps to Sustainability
Session 2: Nonprofit Boards for the New Economy
Session 3: The Ying/Yang of Fundraising and Marketing
Session 4: Changing Lives & Telling the Story

The dates/times and locations for each area are as follows:

Eastern LA County sessions taking place at the Garvey Center:
Session 1: November 18, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 2: December 16, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 3: January 20, 2011 - 9am - 4pm
Session 4: February 17, 2011 - 9am - 4pm

South LA sessions taking place at the PUENTE Learning Center:
Session 1: November 10, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 2: December 15, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 3: January 19, 2011 - 9am - 4pm
Session 4: February 9, 2011 - 9am - 4pm

API Communities sessions taking place at APALC:
Session 1: November 2, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 2: December 7, 2010 - 9am - 4pm
Session 3: January 11, 2011 - 9am - 4pm
Session 4: February 1, 2011 - 9am - 4pm
