BCM Draft NOS Review

1. Introduction

Skills CFA are reviewing the recently drafted National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Business Continuity Management.

NOS are ‘the measurable performance outcomes an individual is expected to reach in a given occupation’. They are the building blocks for defining competence in all sectors of the UK economy.

The NOS for Business Continuity Management (BCM) are made up of work-related statements which identify what an individual needs to know and be able to do, when carrying out functions related to BCM. NOS are outcome based, and although they appear in a logical order, they should not be viewed as sequential activities.

We would like to ask you for your help in identifying areas of improvement within the draft standards, as well as highlighting areas of particular strength.

The completion of this survey should take no more than 30 minutes.

All information provided will be treated in confidence and will not be passed on to a third party. Your responses will remain confidential so please feel free to be as open and honest as you can.

The deadline for completion of this questionnaire is Friday 11 October 2013.

Skills CFA is the government recognised standard setting organisation for pan sector business skills, including Management & Leadership, Business & Administration, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing.
