Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Electrical Engineer Survey

The Go SOLAR - Broward Rooftop Solar Challenge is a U.S. Department of Energy grant-funded program that makes it easier for Broward County residents and businesses to convert to solar energy, by reducing the cost and wait time associated with the installation process for photovoltaic (PV) rooftop solar systems. The Challenge Team is surveying local solar contractors to learn about your solar permitting needs, customers’ demand for your services, your experience installing solar PV rooftop systems in South Florida, and your overall industry needs. Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey at your earliest convenience.
1. What do you see are the main obstacles to Solar Photovoltaic (PV)?
2. What is the most common DC voltage of the individual PV modules/solar panels you have designed PV systems around?
3. What is the most common approximate output wattage of the individual PV modules/solar panels you have used in your designs?
4. What size (capacity) inverter do you typically design for?
