Which approach do you use when creating OSGi applications? Manifest First - I create and update the manifest manually

Code First - I just write my code and let a tool create my manifest

If you use the Manifest First approach, what are the main reasons for you to do so ? (Please skip the question if you are using Code First approach.) I have more control over my manifest that way.

My IDE shows me when I use classes that I don't have in my manifest.

The available tools for manifest generation don't suit my needs.

I am not aware that there are tools available to create my manifest.

If you use the Code First approach what are your main reasons for doing so? (Please skip the question if you are using the Manifest First approach.) It saves me a lot of time not having to update the manifest manually all the time.

The tools do a better job in maintaining the manifest than I do.
