Plant beds, containers and wall-mounted hanging baskets providing vibrant, colourful, year-round planting.
Secure, covered cycle parking with additional spaces.
Multi-sensory garden emphasising smell, touch and taste, with medicinal herbs and wildflowers with accessible seating area centred around the War Memorial.
Original railings and ornamental gates to be restored, with information panels replacing the most damaged areas.
Solar-powered fountain to mask traffic noise at the south facing Gatton Road side.
Edible demonstration of crops for education purposes, including vegetables, fruit and nut trees.
Improved recycling area to include composting and plastic recycling.
More PV panels and other environmentally friendly improvements, aimed at reducing our CO2 emissions.

9. Every year we organise at least two community events or open days. It is always joint effort of our users, members, staff and volunteers. Please let us know if you would like to get involved in organising any of them. You can help by running a workshop or stall, help promoting the event or give us a hand setting up, stewarding or clearing up.
Next year we are planning:

Thursday, 2nd February 2012 - Link Age event - Open Day/Taster sessions, setting up new activities for older people at St Werburghs Centre - for over 50's

A Friday in March - Fundraising evening do – Maybe Ceilidh ? Join us in celebrating the begining of spring with live music, food and dance!
