The AMIA Standards Standard mission is to enable the widely dispersed and diverse members of the global health informatics community to understand the importance of health information interoperability, the contribution of health informatics standards, the identities of the key standards development organizations and their contributions, and the challenges of developing good standards that work well together.
In recognition of the robust slate of standards and interoperability content in the Annual Symposium, Dipak Kalra, Editor of the AMIA Standards Standard, and Don Detmer, founder of the Standards Standard e-publication, invite AMIA 2013 Symposium attendees, members and others to provide feedback through a short survey.
The editor is assessing the importance of standards to AMIA members and the methods AMIA currently uses to disseminate information about standards, standards development and standards implementation.
