Come join us for the 4th Annual Rivanna River Sojourn.

In preparation for your River Adventure we would appreciate your completing this registration survey. The information will be used only to finalize the Sojourn roster and customize each day's events.
What: Fourth Annual Rivanna River Sojourn
Time: Convene at the Pull Out Site at 8:30am each day for a 9:00am launch. See details below.
Dates: April 16 and April 17, 2011
Day 1 - Saturday April 16, 2011
Milton/Shadwell to Palmyra with lunch at Crofton (16.5 Miles)
Day 2 - Sunday April 17, 2011
Palmyra to Columbia with lunch at Hell's Bend
(16.0 Miles)

The Rivanna Conservation Society (RCS) Blue Ridge Mountain Sports (BRMS) are hosting the Fourth Annual Rivanna River Sojourn.

RCS/BRMS will provide all the transportation, guides, safety measures and daily lunch, drinks, and snacks along the way. For those who would like to collect trash along the way, a prize will be given for the most interesting trash.

REGISTRATION FEES – NOTE: 50% OF THE TOTAL FEE IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
One Day Sojourn $70 Adult $45 Minor
Two Day Sojourn $70 Adult $45 Minor
Both Day One and Day Two $125 adult $65 Minor

REGISTRATION FEES WILL PROVIDE
- Kayaks/Canoes/Paddles/Personal flotation devices available (first come-first serve basis)
- Full Shuttle Service between launch and take-out sites - cars to be left at pull out site
- Lunch and refreshments
- A professionally guided paddle down the Rivanna River
- On-River Activities: Wildlife/birding, river exploration and/or clean-up
- Prizes for the most interesting trash collected
- Water Bottle to commemorate the 2011 Sojourn

LOGISTICS
Paddlers will convene at the "Pull Out" Site by 8:30am (this is so your car will be waiting for you at the end of the day). We will travel by bus to the "Put In" for a 9:00am departure. The paddle should conclude by 4:30 - 5:00pm.

Day One meeting location is the Palmyra Boat Launch at the intersection of Rt. 15 and Rt. 53.
DIRECTIONS:I-64 East toward Richmond. Take exit 136 for US-15 South toward Palmyra. Pass through town of Palmyra and go over the bridge crossing the Rivanna River. Take the first right onto Rt. 53. Go about 200 yards (passing Two J's Smokehouse) turn right into gravel boat landing road. Look for brown DGIF sign and the Rivanna Conservation Society's informational kiosk.

Day Two meeting location will be at the Columbia Boat Launch.
DIRECTIONS: I-64 East toward Richmond. Take exit 136 for US-15 South toward Palmyra. After approx. 15 miles, turn left onto Rt. 6 East toward Columbia. After approx. 5 miles, you will cross a bridge over the James. Turn right onto Rt. 690/Columbia Rd. Take an immediate right to the boat landing road leading to the James River. Look for the Large Sojourn banner.


PRE-SOJOURN BRIEFING: APRIL 11, 2011, The briefing will be held from 7:00- 8:00pm at the Blue Ridge Mountain Sports store in the Barracks Road Shopping Center
