2012 Community Allotment Garden Survey
Community Allotment Garden Survey
A community allotment garden (or allotment garden) is a piece of land that is divided into many individual plots. The plots are leased, rented or loaned out for a period of time (usually a year or growing season) to individuals for non-commercial gardening (food and other plants). Each plot user is responsible for maintaining their plot. Common areas, water and tools are often shared by plot users, but can differ from garden to garden.
Currently, the Town has one community allotment garden located in Phyllis Rawlinson Park (Leslie Street just north of 19th Avenue). We are trying to determine if there is a need for additional gardens and potential locations in Richmond Hill. Please take 5 minutes to complete this short survey. We thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions with us.
