Women's Agenda Assembly 2010

The Women's Agenda Assemblies are held across the state in the fall of even years, before the start of the long session of the Legislature. The typical format includes discussion of papers that NCWU member organizations have submitted (the "Draft Agenda") and small group sessions where attendees share their personal connections to public policy. There is some state-wide coordination to support the coordinators at the county level. NCWU depends on volunteers to
  • Draft the papers that form the basis of the Agendas
  • Coordinate the county-based local meetings
  • Other supporting activities to ensure the success of this unique opportunity for women across the state to engage in discussions of public policy
