Patient Survey 2012

Gleadless Medical Centre - Patient Survey 2012

 100%
- THIS IS OUR FIRST PATIENT SURVEY. It is anonymous and it should only take a moment to complete some questions about various areas of our work.
To help us better understand your feedback please do fill in the comments & suggestions sections, bearing in mind our ever limited resources for delivering family health care.

- IF YOU'RE NOT SURE what we already offer you at the practice then you can find out by having a look at our website (before answering) back at www.gleadlessmedicalcentre.co.uk
We will publish the results on our website in the next few months.

- WE ARE EXPERIENCING A VERY DIFFICULT PERIOD with Doctors being off sick & injured at the moment but wanted still to get your opinions on our usual service. Other locum doctors will be helping us out with demand until Dr McCole has fully recovered. Please bear this in mind when completing the survey.
THANK YOU.

1. A little bit about you, please tick all that apply

2. Opening Hours. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30am until 6pm with an extended surgery until 7pm on a Wednesday evening. We do not close at lunch time (although calls are passed via the GP Collaborative to give staff a lunch break) and we do not close on a Thursday afternoon.

8. Access to care. At Gleadless Medical Centre you can see a doctor within 24 hours at our unique “Three Minute Surgery”. Many problems can be efficiently handled from there and if not a longer appointment can be arranged. We have lots of “Same Day Ten Minute Appointments” with doctors and nurses as well as pre-bookable appointments (usually within 1-2 weeks) for reviews and less urgent matters. Whenever we are closed, the GP Collaborative covers your care.

Thinking about appointments, how satisfied are you that you can access health care at the centre?

9. Telephone Access. Each day one of the partners acts as a "Duty Doctor", covering calls to the practice. They deal with a large number of phone calls and many problems can be dealt with in this way. If necessary an appropriate appointment can then be allocated.

Thinking about telephone access, How satisfied are you that you can talk to a doctor on the telephone at the medical centre?

10. Physical Access. As you will know, we have very limited space for parking in and around the medical centre. We encourage staff to car-share or use alternative methods of transport and we have 2 disabled parking bays. We need to maintain access for regular emergency vehicles to the surgery or for doctors to get out on visits. We would value your ideas on how this situation may be improved with the resources we have.
