5. In order to avoid increasing annual dues, the Board recently decided to "go green" and have members access Pacelines on the BCI website. The cost for printing and mailing the newsletter represented approximately 25% of the annual budget. My feelings about this change are:

In order to avoid increasing annual dues, the Board recently decided to "go green" and have members access Pacelines on the BCI website. The cost for printing and mailing the newsletter represented approximately 25% of the annual budget. My feelings about this change are: I prefer avoiding a dues increase and am happy to access Pacelines on the web

I would be willing to pay a supplemental fee (approx $15) for Pacelines to be mailed to me. (i.e. dues would remain the same, cost for Pacelines would be a supplemental charge for those desiring this extra service.)

7. The annual meeting/banquet is held each January. During the last few years, the price has been set between $20-$30 with the lower cost requiring $1000. from our operating budget to help cover costs of the venue rental, catered meal, etc.

Ideas to consider: more remote one day rides, more remote weekend rides, changes to the monthly meetings, more emphasis on safe riding, providing some funds to bike-related charities or bicycle advocacy groups, elevation gain information on the route slips, etc.
