1. MassDOT Accelerated Bridge Program - Project Scheduling Training RSVP for October 22
The MassDOT Accelerated Bridge Program is holding a Project Scheduling Training on October 22, in cooperation with ACEC/MA.
The workshop will be run by Victoria Sheehan and Karim Zaklama of MassDOT Project Controls, and will guide you through a tutorial using an actual project. The intent is to get everyone (MassDOT and Consultants) creating, modifying, and reviewing project schedules in a uniform manner so they can be effectively utilized by all.
Attendance is voluntary, but recommended, and limited to 1 or 2 people per firm. Firms should send an individual who is responsible for the monthly schedule preparation. They may also send another (PM/Principal) who is responsible for reviewing and adhering to the schedules.
Since submission of monthly project schedules is currently only required for ABP projects, those firms with active ABP projects will be given preference for the October 22 session. MassDOT is providing this informational workshop for the benefit of the consulting community. Time spent by staff in attending the workshop is not to be billed under any MassDOT contracts.
This workshop is limited to 150 people, due to space limitations, with preference given to people from firms with current ABP contracts. There is no charge to attend, but you must register in advance. MassDOT plans to hold this program again in the future.
