Big Sioux Rider 2011 Christmas Party

1. The Big Sioux Riders Christmas Party will be a Bak BMW in Sioux City. The social hour will begin at 6 PM and the meal will start at 7 PM. Which day works best for you to attend the Party?

2. In order to minimize our expenses, we are considering having the main course of the party catered and then asking each member to bring either a side dish or desert with them. Please select one or more of the following options.

3. We need nominations for the Annual Big Johnson Award in honor of its first goofy winner – “Big” Jim Johnson. The award is voted on and given at the Annual BSR Christmas Party to the funniest or silliest faux pas or mistake during the year. Nomination should be related to motorcycles or camping and hopefully no one was seriously injured. In 2008 the club decided that people should be eligible to win this award more than once - so everyone is eligible again!! You don’t have to at the Annual Christmas Party to win, heck you don’t even have to be nominated. Good luck and remember, the more people you can nominate, the better your own personal chances of not winning this award. Everyone is eligible to win!!

Prior winners include:
* Dale Nordlie, his back wheel fell off his R1100GS on his way to the Baxter/Marne Campout after he stopped to inspect a strange wobble.
* Sue & Steve Lee – Sue for her skills at keeping her moving bike under complete control while losing her lunch on the lead bike and Steve for enjoying the smells of Wild Berry (Tums) while in complete control of his moving bike behind her.
* Judy Walker for falling on her foot and hurting it while demonstrating a basic maneuver technique during a MSF Course.
* Stan Stille for going to the wrong town for the Iowa Rally, even though his son Ryan put the coordinates into his GPS for him, a town which they lived in when Ryan and Stan were much younger. He also lost his sleeping bag and tent on the way to the wrong town.
* Steve Martin for sleeping on his tent stakes all night after loaning stakes and fabricated a few new ones. Steve had determined he had forgotten his stakes at home.
* Randy Roos for forcing his wife to pull him over on his Dakar, over and over again, while trying to have her pull start him with a rope.
* Doug Shonley for knocking over his brand new bike with Nancy Rae's brand new pickup... after telling Nancy Rae to be careful.
* Jim Johnson, the awards namesake and original recipient, for running out of gas shortly after telling everything he had plenty, getting lost twice with his GPS, and falling over... all on one poker run.
