3. REGISTRATION PROCESS: Based on feedback from past years, we tried a revised format this year. Beginning in November, a process of rolling admission began in which applications folders were received after inquiry and a new $75 application fee of $75 charged. All applicants were told they would receive word of acceptance by February 1. Notices of placement were sent out via email. All currently enrolled families were given until January 15 to make a deposit for next year, which was substantially earlier than last year but was necessary in order to let applicants know whether they were admitted. Any open spots were then offered to applicants based on application date, age-appropriateness, and class grouping dynamics.

Please give us feedback on your experience with registration this year so that we can continue to modify as necessary. Your ideas are invaluable to us!

6. Last year we created a Parent Handbook that included SSC's art-principled philosophy, Parent Committee information, and calendar information. It is our "gut feeling" that we would be better off putting this information online, perhaps in a password-protected section of the site. Of course, this would allow for greater accuracy and flexibility, particularly with the calendar. Please share your preferences of how you would like to have access to a Parent Handbook.
