North Carolina Poetry Out Loud

The N.C. Arts Council, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the Poetry Foundation and the Greensboro Public Library, invites N.C. students to participate in Poetry Out Loud to gain a deeper appreciation of great poetry through memorization and recitation.

If you are a student interested in participating in Poetry Out Loud, you will need to have a teacher complete this registration form.

If you are a teacher interested in participating in the official N.C. Poetry Out Loud competition, please complete and submit this registration form by Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.

Please indicate if you are willing to volunteer to be a school coordinator and/or district coordinator for the program.

School coordinators are necessary to coordinate school-level competitions when more than one teacher in the school wants to participate in the program.

District coordinators are necessary to coordinate district level competitions if more than one school in your school district registers to participate in the program.

The materials needed to coordinate all levels of Poetry Out Loud contests can be found on the National Endowment for the Arts’ Poetry Out Loud website:
