National Survey: Impact of Recent U.S. Dept. of Labor Decisions on Unpaid Internships

1. Default Section

Recent articles in the New York Times, Newsweek, and the Wall Street Journal have brought the spotlight to bear on unpaid internships. The U.S. Department of Labor has issued Fact Sheet #71: Internship Programs Under The Fair Labor Standards Act (http://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/whdfs71.htm).

This survey is to discern whether there is an appreciable change in the feelings of employers to offer unpaid internships as a result of this publicity and the recent action by the U.S. Department of Labor.
