The 2010 BPN Sustainability Awards will continue to promote sustainability and push the boundaries of innovation with an enhanced awards scheme.

Entries for the awards close 12 July, 2010.

Award Categories

A. Single Dwelling (New): New construction of a single residential home. Must not exceed three-storeys.
B. Single Dwelling (Alterations or Extensions): Extensions to the home or alterations to at least 50 per cent of the home.
C. Multi Density Residential: Townhouses, duplexes, residential complex.
D. Small Commercial: An office building which is three-storeys or lower.
E. Large Commercial: An office building which is four-storeys or over.
F. Office Fitout: A renovation to the interior of an office building
G. Public Building & Urban Design: Public building: a building which services the public or is used by the public. Examples: community hall, government building, recreation facility. Urban design: for a definition on an urban design project, please refer to the Australian Institute of Architect’s Urban Design Policy here: http://www.architecture.com.au/policy/pages/urban_design/summary.php
H. Landscape Design: The sustainable design, preservation and rehabilitation of land around public, commercial, residential or retail buildings (both private and public). This category is open to architects, designers and contractors. (See separate questions below)
I. Innovation of the Year: A product or service which is innovative and unique and provides a purpose not met by other products or services in the industry. (See separate questions below)

Eligibility

Any company which designs or constructs buildings or provides a product or service to the building and construction industry. Entries previously submitted for the BPN Sustainability Awards are not eligible for re-entry.

Projects must have been completed in Australia in the period January 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Products or services being entered in the Innovation of the Year category must have been launched in the same period.

Companies can enter more than one category or project.

Rules of Entry

 Prior to the night of the awards, the results remain confidential.
 Responsibility falls on the entrant for providing correct information.
 The entrant authorises BPN to publish the information contained in the entry in whatever format it sees fit.
 Once received, entries will remain the property of the promoter (BPN).
 Entries will not be returned.

Judging

Only complete, submitted work will be judged. The judges reserve the right to make the final decision on the awards. No correspondence will be entered into.

Submission requirements

For EACH entry, submit the following:
o Nomination cover form
o Nomination Questionnaire(Click next at the bottom of page to take you through to nomination questionnaire)
o Images: at least three and up to eight different high resolution (300 dpi) colour jpg or gif images
o Projects (Categories A to G only) must include floor plans and site drawings showing the elevation and plan, with north clearly indicated. All images must indicate what is shown.
