ASCENSUS 2010 Reach Out, Be Counted

 

This is the time of year that we ask all confirmed members of Ascension to assist in being counted….Ascensus 2010!

1 Peter 4:10 'Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.'
Ascensus 2010 is the opportunity of providing personal indication of time and talent that can be offered in functions and activities of the church. Additionally it is a time to gather other personal information for the church’s records.

The ability of Ascension to plan and undertake its ministry priorities, as well as other mission work, is directly correlated to the time and efforts we willingly bring in this service. The church’s own internal support needs also continue to increase as we grow as a congregation. It is important that we each take a personal census of abilities and interests we can offer in support of the Lord’s work. The information received is compiled in a data base to allow subsequent requests to be made to individuals for specific functions, and eliminates the need for an alternative sign up sheet method for many areas.

1. PLEASE NOTE: The time and talent information on your personal record is DELETED and RENEWED EACH YEAR. It is important that you check your areas of interest each year.

2. The spring time and talent stewardship program is just one way of showing your interest in getting involved. Some involvement opportunities are better served through signing up or by speaking directly with a person who directs that area. Watch for sign up sheets and announcements throughout the year.

3. People are sometimes contacted quickly after indicating an interest in an activity. Sometimes people are not contacted until a specific event or need arises. Feel free to take the initiative and contact us about an area of your interest.
