CUNY Professional Development Program Course Application
Introduction
Welcome to the on-line registration application for CUNY Professional Development Program (CPDP) courses. These courses are brought to CUNY employees by the OHRM Professional Development and Learning Management Office, also known as PDLM. PDLM recognizes that the success of every CUNY campus depends in large part on the skills and capabilities of its employees. Therefore, CPDP courses are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of CUNY employees. A completed application is required to register for all CPDP courses. Authorization from your supervisor or manager, and submission by campus Human Resources also is required to participate.
The on-line PDLM Application will be presented over the next several screens and it is simple to complete.
- First, you fill-in the required contact information and your CUNYfirst Employee ID. This will allow PDLM to inform you that your registration has been processed and of the location of your course(s).
- Next, you input information about the course(s) you wish to take. This includes the title of the course, the course code, the course level, if any, and the duration of the course (i.e., number of days). You may obtain this information from the PDLM Catalog, monthly PDLM course fliers and brochures, or the PDLM Program Schedule. These documents are available on the CUNY web site at www.cuny.edu/training.
- Next, you obtain authorization from your supervisor (or manager) to register for the course(s). To obtain authorization, you print the completed application and give it to your supervisor for his/her signature.
- Finally, after your supervisor has signed it, the application must be forwarded to your Human Resources Office for campus processing. Your Human Resources Office will then forward your authorized application to PDLM for final processing.
You may register for up to six courses on one application. To register for more than six courses, you must complete another application. Direct questions regarding the OHRM PDLM application to your campus Human Resources Office or to the OHRM Professional Development Office at 646-758-7940, or, via email at
university.training@cuny.edu.
Please note that this on-line application is
not to be used to register for courses being held at the DCAS Citywide Training Center (CTC). To register for NYC CTC courses, you must complete a CUNY CTC course application. The CUNY CTC application is available from your campus Human Resources Office, or, on-line under "Registration" on the PDLM screens on the CUNY web site. You may reach the PDLM screens on the CUNY web site at
www.cuny.edu/training.
We thank you for your interest in PDLM courses and wish you much success in the enhancement of your professional "tool kit."
Sincerely,
