These are questions for information requested under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 by The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care to survey PCT services for carers, and particularly provision of breaks for carers by PCTs that was announced in the National Carers' Strategy, June 2008.

We are building a national picture of how PCTs are supporting carers’ and hope to gain examples of existing services.

1. What amount, if any, have you allocated for the provision of breaks for carers in 2010/2011?
2. What amount, if any, have you allocated to spend on all carers’ specific services, including respite breaks, in 2010/2011? We would be grateful if you are able to name the types of services that you provide.
3. What was your percentage achieved in relation to the NHS Vital Signs indicator regarding the proportion of carers receiving a break or service as a percentage of clients receiving community-based services (for the most recent year information is available)?
