As the new year begins, our focus is to create and top last year’s Groovin' experience. Help us make this year's 5 year celebration the best Groovin' weekend yet by taking our online survey. We would love your input!

1. Which Saturday night event theme would you rather get your groove on with?

Which Saturday night event theme would you rather get your groove on with? The '80s – summed up in a song from the movie Dirty Dancing…”I’ve had the time of my life,” and from the movie Footloose…”This is our time,” and “Let’s Dance!” The '80s were the years of glam, glitz, teased up mall bangs, leg warmers, satin, sequins, and bling. The bigger the better, especially hairstyles! The '80s brought us the music of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Lionel Ritchie, the Go Go’s, Cindy Lauper, Van Halen, and Cheap Trick. Classic shows like Two’s company, Who’s the Boss?, Designing Women, Hill Street Blues, Roseanne, Married with Children, and Miami Vice entertained us. Revisit the era at Club Groove, one fantastic night of celebration, glitz, and getting your groove on! Dress up as your favorite icon or just dig deep in your closet and dress the era. There will be hot music, fun, prizes, and extravagance.

The '50s – It is time to pull out those poodle skirts, pedal pushers, cat eye glasses, saddle shoes, penny loafers, white socks, denim, leather jackets, and even those puffy prom dresses. The '50s gave us great icons like James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Elizabeth Taylor, Lucille Ball, Grace Kelly, the Supremes, and the Temptations. Shows like The Honeymooners, Ed Sullivan, Perry Mason, Happy Days, Gunsmoke, What’s my line? and Father Knows Best all debuted and transformed the '50s. You are invited back in time to a '50s dance to beat all dances. The Groovin' Prom Committee will transform the ballroom. No worries, you don’t need a date for this prom. You will laugh and dance the night away with your sisters. We will “rock, rock, rock…around the clock…rocking the night away.”
