2012 EMSC Recognition Awards
In 2012, the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) EMSC Program will institute the EMSC Recognition Awards program. This annual program will provide current EMSC grantees the opportunity to identify and recognize fellow EMSC grantees that went above and beyond to provide advice, inspiration, and leadership in grant-related matters. Individuals selected for recognition will be entered into the pool of candidates for a 2014 National Heroes Award. Winners will be recognized during a special session at this year's Annual EMSC Program Meeting.
To facilitate a quicker and simpler nomination process, the EMSC National Resource Center is utilizing SurveyMonkey to gather information about each nominee. Please take a few minutes today to complete this brief survey. This is your opportunity to acknowledge a member of the EMSC community who helped you: (1) initiate or ensure the success of a community project or product, (2) spread information about recruiting participants in a clinical study, (3) collaborate with a community organization to help spread the word about EMSC, (4) navigate the EMSC program as a newcomer, and so forth. This person also may have served as your “go-to” person when you had questions about HRSA’s Electronic Handbook (EHB) or other grant management issues. Of course, these are just a few suggestions among the dozens of reasons to think about when nominating a member of the State Partnership, Targeted Issues, or PECARN community.
Completed surveys are due no later than March 30, 2012. You do not need to submit supporting data or photographs! We just want you to tell us who helped you the most this year so that we can draw attention to their kindness, dedication, and service to others.
Current grantees (e.g. State Partnership, Targeted Issues, and PECARN) and FAN can nominate, present and past grantees, advisory committee members, and FAN representatives. Please make sure that you complete the entire nomination form (demographics and open-ended responses) to ensure a thorough submission.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the EMSC National Resource Center Program Associate Gayathri Jayawardena at firstname.lastname@example.org.
