OneWorld Now! Student Application Fall 2010

 

OneWorld Now!, a Project of the Tides Center, is an integrated global leadership program for PRIMARILY high school SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS that offers language training, leadership development and study abroad opportunities to youth throughout the Seattle area. OWN! primarily focuses on providing these opportunities to minority and low-income youth. In keeping with our focus OneWorld Now! will be accepting a total of 80 students; awarding 60 scholarship spots to students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch and reserving 20 paid spots for students who are not eligible for financial assistance. Non-scholarship spots will be allotted to accepted students, on a first come - first serve basis.

OneWorld Now! requires a strong commitment from its participants. As a participant in OWN!, you will attend language classes twice a week, participate in global leadership workshops on Fridays in downtown Seattle, and have the opportunity to study abroad or attend language camps during the summer.

Once you have completed this application, a OWN! representative will contact you to schedule an interview. Interviews will take place during the month of September.

Students with incomplete applications will not be interviewed until the application is complete.
