As an Old Portmuthian you belong to a world-wide community of thousands of individuals who each have fascinating, exciting and diverse lives and a wealth of experience across the career spectrum which we would like to hear about in order to inspire current pupils. This online survey will only take a few minutes to complete but will be enormously useful in helping us to compile a valuable resource bank and a comprehensive snapshot of the PGS alumni community.
It might be one, ten or fifty years since you last walked through the archway of the Portsmouth Grammar School, but we are interested in hearing about your activities since that time and where they have taken you. Are you fulfilling the career aspirations you had upon leaving PGS or have you taken an entirely different direction? We would be fascinated to follow your journey.
We have also included questions about OP events and reunions. From one-off reunions to regular lunches, there is a rolling programme of social events to welcome you back and active OP networks throughout the world so that you are never far away from your PGS peers. Your answers will help us to shape future events for OPs and their families.
In the year of the national Census and, with the popularity among the OP community for the magazine Opus which has strengthened the school's relationship with its alumni, parents and supporters, it feels the right time to canvass and re-connect with as many Old Portmuthians as possible by using our electronic survey. No matter where you are in the world we hope that you will use the survey to stay in touch and let us know what you are up to. The information you provide will be stored securely and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will not be passed on to third parties without your permission.
As a thank you for taking the trouble to update us we are offering a bottle of champagne to the first fully completed survey selected at random on 31 May 2011, so please sumbit your completed survey by this date.
