Nottingham City Council is now planning to introduce a parking charge in all the City community schools. This will not apply to academies,voluntary aided schools, Bilborough College or independent schools in the City. In these schools the Workplace Parking levy will still apply and we need to know how your school will respond.

Please complete the survey wherever you work.

The new plan is an attempt to manage the consequences of the Work Place Parking levy in a way which will match the cost to employees salaries and overcome some of the problems in trying to pass on the WPL entirely to employees.

We need to know your views on this proposal as soon as possible.


On the following page we have provided extracts from notes that have been provided for headteachers by the City. These explain how the scheme will work. Please note that these notes are trying to encourage employees to pay the parking charge. The NUT still has concerns about any charge being passed on the employees, but we need your view about what is on offer.
