New IRB Process: Submit Your Comments

1. Introduction

The Institutional Review Board's (IRB) new process for initial, full review studies was designed to eliminate rework and redundancy, and to provide researchers with the resources needed to submit complete applications on first submission.

The new process was designed during a Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) Rapid Process Design Workshop. In continuing with the CPI philosophy (Plan-Do-Check-Act), the Human Subjects Protection Program (HSPP) will audit the new process against the targets set during the workshop. In addition, the HSPP would like to gather user feedback on how the process and use of the new forms is going. Feedback will be taken into consideration during the "Check-Act" periods.
