Deadline: Friday, March 8, 2013 (5pm Eastern Time)

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the 2013 EPIP National Conference! EPIP is a place for you to thrive and this is an opportunity for you to do so. Secure your spot on the agenda by submitting a compelling, high-quality poster abstract for the EPIP Innovations Gallery. The gallery will highlight your research, strategies, and impacts in philanthropy and social change. Effective and responsible grantmaking and social impact require constant learning. This demands high quality approaches to and research on the field of philanthropy itself and more broadly on social change. It also requires evaluation of funded programs and social change initiatives to ensure that they are achieving their intended impacts.

EPIP encourages a broad range of submissions, including original research results, research-in-progress, grantmaking and/or social impact strategies, on three critical and interrelated areas of research: 1) Research on Giving and Social Impact, which could include findings on philanthropy itself, trends in giving, and inquiries into motivations for giving, demographic trends, or recent developments in emergency responses to disasters; 2) Research to Inform Giving and Social Impact, such as program evaluation findings of nonprofit programs and social change initiatives that offer implications for the field of philanthropy; and 3) Strategies for Giving and Social Impact, such as grantmaking strategies that you have developed in your institution, community inclusion initiatives, and collaborations and partnerships. The focus of the session would be on action; all posters must offer actionable implications or recommendations for the field of philanthropy and social change initiatives.

All accepted abstracts will be presented in poster format during the conference. Accepted presenters will design their posters, and EPIP will manage poster printing, mounting, and placement.

Instructions and Guidelines:

All abstracts must be received by March 8, 2013 at 5PM Eastern Time. Abstracts cannot exceed 350 words (excluding headings, authors, and the title) and must be submitted through the Survey Monkey link provided.

Authors will be notified of acceptance by March 15, 2013. Posters will be due by Tuesday, March 19 at 5 pm EST.

Poster presenters are responsible for all conference expenses, including registration, transportation, lodging, and meals. EPIP covers all poster expenses.
