The Plateau extends roughly from Rt 7 in the north to Rt 20 in the south.
On the east it starts as you head uphill from the Rt 22 valley.
On the west it starts as you head uphill from Cropseyville on Rt 2, the hamlet of Poestenkill on Plank Road or from Crooked Lake on Route 43.
