This is an informal survey designed to generate some ideas and impressions of the options facing parents of Blacksburg Middle and High School students. Please feel free to circulate to others who might want to give their input. We plan on forwarding the information gathered to the School Board.

1-Use the BMS facility to house grades 9 – 12 on a traditional schedule (BMS facility will become the temporary high school) Use the Old Christiansburg Middle School Building (OCMS) to house Blacksburg students, grades 6,7 and 8.
2- Use the current BMS Facility to house grades 8 – 12 and the current CMS as the location for 6th and 7th grade students from Blacksburg on a unified schedule; The school will be operated as a 6 – 8 school and run as a unified school; Enrollment estimated at 1402 in grades 8 – 12 on the BMS campus and 1410 on the CMS campus
3-Use the current BMS Facility for grades 8 – 12 or 9 - 12 and establish CMS as the site for CMS and BMS on a split schedule; both schools will operate as separate schools in the same building with different schedules similar to that used by BMS/BHS students and staff since February
4-Use the current BMS Facility to house grades 9 – 12. Establish the current CMS as the location for grades 6 – 8 students from Blacksburg and Christiansburg on a unified schedule. The school will be run as one unified school. Enrollment estimated at 1705 students.
5-Continue with split schedule as carried out this spring with both BMS and BHS at BMS.
