We're thrilled to tell you that we already have an exciting potential venue in Seattle, Washington for the 2012 NCDD national conference! We'd like your help deciding what dates might work best for those of you who may want to attend. Question Title * 1. I'm in Seattle / the Seattle area I'm within driving distance I'm a short flight away I'm a cross-country flight away It would be an international flight for me Question Title * 3. One possible range of dates for a 3-day NCDD conference is Monday, October 8 through Thursday, October 11, though October 8th is Columbus Day, a national holiday. What is your OPINION about those dates? That date range sounds fine. Columbus Day isn't a factor since many don't observe it. I think an event that coincides with Columbus Day is a bad idea. I'd suggest starting on Tuesday so people can travel on Monday and still enjoy their weekend. I think starting on Monday (Columbus Day) is best, since people can travel on Sunday and some have Monday off work anyway. Thoughts/Comments? Question Title * 4. And what about YOUR availability on Columbus Day 2012 (Monday, October 8th)? I'd probably be available. I'd probably NOT be available. I'd probably have to arrive a day late. If Columbus Day is likely to pose a challenge for you, please expain why (family obligations, work, etc.) so we understand what people's challenges may be. Question Title * 5. In general, what days of the week work best for you for multi-day conferences? Weekdays and weekends both work; my schedule is flexible. I strongly prefer weekends. I can only do weekends. I strongly prefer conferences that fall on weekdays. I can only do weekdays. Question Title * 6. What's your "Day Job"? This will give us a sense of how timing could influence various types of potential attendees.
