This research is being conducted under the supervision of Professor Steven Pinker. The questionnaire will take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. In this study, we will be asking your opinions about various statements. You will first be asked to answer some basic demographic questions, and will then read a series of statements and answer some questions regarding these statements. This research is being done to understand how people react to different kinds of social situations.

Please understand that your participation in the research is voluntary and that you are free to withdraw your consent and discontinue participation in the research at any time by simply closing your web browser.

All of the information that we obtain from your session will be kept confidential. We will store the records in a locked cabinet, or a secure computer, and a code number will be used to identify your records in our data analysis. Your name or your identifying information will not be used in any reports of the research. Your IP address will not be recorded, so your responses are completely anonymous. This information will be destroyed after 5 years.

There is no direct benefit to you from participating in this research.
