Dear Out of School Time Provider:
United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg has is committed to ensure that all children and youth in our community develop positive behaviors and successfully transition into adulthood. Through several community partnerships, we seek to increase the quality, coordination and accessibility of services and supports for children and youth in our region. To that end, we are working to create and maintain a yearly Greater Richmond Region Landscape Map.
The following survey is grounded in the five principals below, ensuring that all children and youth in our community are supported in the following ways:
• Learning: developing positive basic and applied academic attitudes, skills and behaviors
• Working: developing positive vocational attitudes, skills and behaviors
• Thriving: developing physically healthy attitudes, skills, and behaviors
• Connecting: developing positive social attitudes, skills, and behaviors
• Leading/Contributing: developing positive civic attitudes, skills, and behaviors
As an organization that serves youth, we need your help to gain a better understanding of our community’s current supports and services for youth. Please take a moment to complete the attached survey developed by the Forum for Youth Investment. The data collected will help us get a picture of the services, supports and opportunities currently available to youth in our community as well as identify any gaps.
The length of time required to complete the survey is approximately one hour. If you have multiple youth programs in multiple locations within your organization, please complete the survey for each program’s location. Please note that you only need to complete the organizational overview once. We appreciate you helping us to get the most comprehensive data possible by forwarding this survey to any other organizations you know that serve youth ages 5-21 years of age.
Thank you for taking the time to provide critical information that will help foster and support an improved system of youth services in our region. Upon completion of this survey you will receive a save the date for our annual Partnership for Out of School Time (POST) meeting in March.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Sandra Booth at 771-5830 or booths@yourunitedway.org
Sincerely,
Sherrie Brach
