Equality Survey-Minority Ethnic Groups

1. Introduction

Glasgow Community Planning Partnership is a group of organisations providing public services in Glasgow – such as education, social care, policing and health services. It is developing an Equality and Diversity Strategy. This is a plan to work to meet the needs of all people in Glasgow. It will be an important way of making sure that people are not disadvantaged because of their personal characteristics.

We, ODS Consulting, are helping with the Equality and Diversity Strategy by finding out about the needs, experiences and strengths of different people in Glasgow. We have gathered together what we can about people’s needs and experiences, and now we would like your views.

This survey explores your views on the needs of people from minority ethnic groups in Glasgow. The majority ethnic group in Glasgow is white Scottish or white British. So this survey explores the needs of people from other ethnic groups.

This survey will really only take about five minutes to complete. It will definitely help Glasgow Community Planning Partnership to plan its activities around equality. Please complete this survey by 19th March 2010 at the latest.
