Advancing Male Health in Ottawa - Survey Part 1
1. Advancing Male Health in Ottawa: 2010 and Beyond
Thank you for logging on to complete this short survey.
Dr. Anthony Bella, Surgeon-Investigator and Director of Basic Urologic Research, Division of Urology at The Ottawa Hospital, is interested in the role of the Nurse Practitioner in advancing male health in Ottawa. Those who attended his first session may remember that he is interested in exploring the impact of educational sessions on NP practice. The results of this education series and follow up impact analysis will be presented this June at the national meeting of the Canadian Urology Association.
The attached needs assessment will serve as a starting point for targeting specific education in the areas of erectile dysfunction and the link to cardiovascular disease, Peyronie's disease and testosterone/hypogonadism in the male patient. The interactive education sessions will be conducted by Dr. Anthony Bella, urologist, over three sessions and will be followed by a reflective exercise that will monitor the groups progress and impact of the targeted education on your male patients in clinical practice. Participation in these sessions will implicitly indicate your agreement to participation in Dr. Bella's investigation.
The March 8th presentation will be circulated to all. Your completion of this needs assessment is step one in the process. Education sessions 2 & 3 will be held Monday April 26, 2010 and Monday May 10, 2010. Details on meeting locations to follow, so save the date now.
In the meantime, complete the needs assessment and review the slide presentation and you will be ready to participate in this research project which will highlight the important role of the nurse practitioner in advancing male health in Ottawa: 2010 and Beyond. Thank you
