AAPALM Member Survey 2010

1. Default Section

1. 1) Do you believe the AAPALM mission statement updated last year adequately reflects what you want AAPALM to be?

2. 2) Of the following two AAPALM missions, which one is most important to you personally or is more the reason you became an AAPALM member?

3. 3) Of the following two AAPALM missions, which one do you believe should be AAPALM’s mission priority?

4. 4) Do you believe that all AAPALM Members should be required to agree to abide by the AAPA Ethical Guidelines Statement adopted by the AAPA House of Delegates? (See AAPALM website for copy of the Ethical Guidelines.)

5. 5) It has historically been an issue that an AAPALM officer who performs their own legal consulting is the main contact person for the AAPA. That is, sometimes members suspect that case referrals are being kept by the contact person or passed on to friends or fellow officers. The President has proposed that the contact person listed with the AAPA be an AAPALM member who does not perform any expert witness services. Do you agree with this proposal?

6. 6) Do you believe that all AAPALM members should be ENCOURAGED to perform at least one educational activity during the year using resources such as powerpoint presentations, newsletters and other information provided by AAPALM on the topic of clinical risk management, malpractice, or patient safety? Educational activity would include but not be limited to doing a presentation to PA students, colleagues or the public or writing an article for you local PA chapter newsletter, employer newsletter, etc.

7. 7) Do you believe the above should not just be encouraged but required of all AAPALM members?

8. 8) Do you believe AAPALM annual dues at $25 are too high, too low or just right.

9. 9) Would you continue to be an AAPALM member if dues were higher – choose the highest you would be willing to pay?

10. 10) In order to increase the value of our membership, would you recommend making the newsletter a member’s only benefit?
