Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Backline and supporting people across the spectrum of decisions and experiences with pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption! Our next Talkline Advocate trainings will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area and Bloomington, IN later this spring or summer. Portland OR will not have another training until at least Fall 2013.

2. Trainings will be held in several locations in 2013. Volunteers who successfully complete a training are expected to participate in their local group for at least one year. Let us know which Talkline Advocate team you are interested in joining - and if you want us to consider another area, please tell us!

9. Talkline Advocates are required to volunteer at least three 5-hour shifts per month on the Talkline for at least six months. Talkline hours are weekday evenings and weekend days. Please tell us the general days or times you are available, and how this volunteer commitment would fit into your life and schedule.
10. Please tell us about any other special skills or interests (language capacity, writing, training or outreach experience, etc) that you hope to share with Backline.

11. The dates for the next Talkline Advocate Trainings will vary by location. Generally speaking, if accepted to the program, could you commit to attending a 40 hour training over a 2 week period (usually three Weds evenings and two full weekends), and regular monthly meetings?
