Follow-up on CIO Executive Council 2/10 teleconference

 
Several CIO Executive Council members (senior IT executives) are using a web-based supplier portal today known as the Vendor Screening Service powered by Turner DeVaughn Network (TDN). It was described in the CIOEC teleconference in which you participated on February 10.

Use of the portal is free to IT buyers.

For sellers, a nominal monthly subscription entitles subscribing vendors to:

1. Opportunity to receive buyers' direct, specific feedback to their offerings.
2. Access to continually updated information about buyers' evolving IT circumstances and needs.
3. A platform for ongoing access and dialogue.

Your professional opinion here is invaluable. We respectfully request your feedback to ensure that the process and pricing is aligned with and based on your own experience:

1. Some CIOs will invite you to use their supplier portal. Would you be willing to furnish your contact information and a brief description of what your product or service can do for the buyer?

2. Once you submit this information, how important is it to get prompt feedback?

If you receive email notification that the buyer has responded to your inquiry with a considered reaction to the description of your offering, request for a meeting, etc., how much would you be willing to spend per month to gain access to this feedback, updated information about the buyer's needs, and dialog with the buyer – using this portal as the platform?

4. If you could use this portal to gain ongoing feedback on where you stand, what you can do to improve your value proposition, and how the buyer's circumstances are evolving, how long would you want this kind of ongoing access?
