We have arranged with Valpak (www.valpak.com) to do a 30-45 minute tour of their facilities on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012. The objective of the tour is for user group members to learn more about Valpak's $220 million high-tech manufacturing facility and learn how Business Intelligence and the Agile Development Methodology is helping Valpak become more efficient and competitive.

Thomas Spetnagel, Business Intelligence Architect at Valpak, will be our speaker at our next user group meeting on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012. He will discuss how Agile Development Methodology is being applied to the BI development efforts at Valpak and how it s helping Valpak analyze tons of data collected from their industrial equipment data outputs, marketing campaign results from the "Blue Envelope" and on-line coupons, email campaign effectiveness, and more.
Valpak has also offered to host our meeting at one of their conference rooms located inside the Largo manufacturing facility, so our next meeting will not be at our usual meeting place at the Microsoft office. Instead we will be meeting at their big conference room located inside their manufacturing facility at: 1 Halkey Roberts Pl N, St Petersburg, FL 33716
The two options we have are:
1) Have the tour before our meeting at 6:15 pm and have our meeting at Valpak conference room right after the tour or,
2) Have the tour early morning at 7:00 am and have our meeting at Valpak conference room in the evening at 6:00 pm
The preferred choice is option 1, but we may break into two groups in order to accommodate everyone's schedule.

The objective of the survey is to get a preliminary count of user group members interested in attending, to check if we would need to break the tour in two groups and the best time that would work for the majority. This is not an RSVP request. An RSVP request will be sent out by August 31st.
