MIT Earth Day Challenge Project: Easy on the Planet Product Purchases

When making a product purchase through Staples, consider products that have reduced environmental impact or are made from recycled content. Challenge participants commit to making product selections such as:
-- Products that contain pre- and/or post-consumer recycled content
-- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) products that support the responsible use of forest resources
-- Energy Star rated products
-- Products that are EPA DfE recognized or Green Seal™ certified

Staples offering/Product availability:
Offer over 10,000 products with reduced environmental impact. Environmental attributes include recycled, remanufactured, refillable, rechargeable, and more. Over a third achieved third-party certifications, such as Green Seal™, GREENGUARD, ENERGY STAR, ACMI, FSC, EPEAT and EPA’s Design for the Environment.

Additionally, Sustainable Earth by Staples® products offer nearly 1,000 reduced impact products, from toner to cleaning and breakroom suppliers to office products. Including innovative materials like sugarcane-based notebooks and compostable cups to remanufactured toners and solar powered calculators
