My name is, Mohd Khairi, and I am a student at the University of Phoenix working on a Doctorate in Management of Information Systems Technology degree. I am conducting a research study entitled, “Master data management model effectiveness in information technology organization.” The nature of the research study will be to obtain an understanding of factors that affect selection of architectural model for Master Data Management system in an organization. The purpose of this quantitative with qualitative embedded design method study is to identify and understand the MDM community preferences and experiences when selecting an architectural model against certain attributes for an organization.
The specific population of the study will include approximately 250 from MDM communities who contribute to blogs and Wikis on the Internet. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the relationship between MDM architectural models’ alternatives (federated and centralized) and an organization’s ability to derive one version of the truth.
Your participation will involve completing an online questionnaire using the web-based survey tool hosted at SurveyMonkey.com. Your participation in the present study is voluntary. If you choose not to participate or to withdraw from the study at any time, you can do so without penalty or loss of benefit to yourself. You can withdraw during the Survey by closing the browser's window. Once the survey is submitted, you will receive an acknowledgment screen of your submission. The acknowledgment screen has an "identification number" informing your successful submission. Afterwords, if you choose to withdraw, you can provide the "identification number" received with the acknowledgment screen to withdraw from survey.
The results of the research study may be published but your identity will not be collected during or after the survey end. In this research, the foreseeable risks to you are none. Although there will be no direct benefit to you, a possible benefit of your participation is that your answers to the questionnaire may contribute to knowledge being added to the literature regarding Master Data Management Architectural models. As a participant in the current research study, you should understand the following:
1. You may decline to participate or withdraw from participation at any time without consequences.

4. Data will be stored in a secure and locked area. The data will be held for a period of three years, and then destroyed.
