Shoreline Landowner Restoration Interest Survey
Kitsap Regional Shoreline Restoration Project: Landowner Interest Survey
Kitsap County is working on a shoreline restoration project through an EPA-funded grant. The project will:
• Use a wide-range of existing datasets to identify reaches of shoreline that will best support aesthetic value, homeowner shoreline access, natural habitat, necessary sediment input to beaches, healthy shellfish production, and more;
• Conduct workshops to share information about how our shorelines live and work and results from this current study;
• Seek participants and collaborators interested in a variety of types of shoreline restoration on their property;
• Select restoration projects on at least one public property, and as many private properties as resources and interest allow.
Kitsap County and its partners want to work with landowners and other interested parties to find real opportunities to change how we live along and interact with the Puget Sound shoreline.
To identify support for this project, we hope you will take a few minutes to take this survey.
