MDM Maturity Assesment Survey

1. Introduction

THE SURVEY:

Thank you in advance for your time. We ask you to spend approx. 30 min. on our survey, where you will answer a series of questions that assess your organizations maturity within Master Data Management. The maturity assessment is based on the Platon Insight® methodology and is divided into five perspectives of MDM (Mission, Organization, Policies, Architecture and Technology).

In return for your input you will receive a comprehensive free assessment report detailing the results and the most relevant observations. The report will be in part manually generated by an Platon employee so please allow for production time. Your input is treated confidential and apart from being used in the survey group average calculations, your input will not be shared with anyone. We have strived for composing the survey in a way that should eliminate misunderstandings to the highest extent possible. All participants who complete the survey will, besides receiving the free assessment report, automatically be in several prize drawings. Every week we will draw several lucky winners of a free webcam. At the end of the survey three lucky participants will be drawn randomly to win an Apple iPod touch.

MDM MATURITY ASSESMENT FRAMEWORK:

- The Platon Master Data Management maturity model consists of 5 different levels ranging from the lowest 1 (Unaware) to the highest 5 (Optimized.)

- The ideal place to be at is not necessarily level 5.

- The analysis is divided into the five perspectives (pillars) of the Platon Insight® Methodology: Mission, Architecture, Technology, Organization and Policies.

- Within each perspective you will be asked 4-5 questions, where you must score your organization (to the best of your knowledge).

- At each question the typical characteristics of each level are described to help you evaluate the level your organization is at.
