1. 2012 NEA MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
WOEA awards scholarships to attend the NEA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference held each year in January.
The 2012 Mid-Atlantic Regional Leadership Conference will take place January 27-29, 2012 in Arlington, VA.
Detailed conference, hotel and registration information will be available to participants by early fall on the NEA website, http://www.nea.org.
Scholarships are $1000.00 each. All participants are responsible for their own conference registration, travel and hotel accommodations. To apply for a NEA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference Scholarship, complete the online application below. Scholarship recipients will be notified after the November WOEA Board of DIrector's meeting.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Expenses will be paid by the applicant and reimbursed by WOEA Applicants must complete and submit an expense voucher and report to assist WOEA in knowing the value of the event to the recipient and to WOEA. Applications will not be accepted past deadlines. If there are more applicants than scholarships, a waiting list will be maintained should there be cancellations. If a scholarship recipient does not use an awarded scholarship, that member will be excluded from consideration for future scholarships for a period of three (3) years. WOEA will notify local presidents regarding the scholarships WOEA awards to members of that local. NEA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference Scholarship Guidelines:
Deadline: Monday before the November WOEA Board of Director's meeting.Priority: A total of 6 scholarships will be awarded: WOEA officers and new participants; when officers don't attend, new participants still have priority.
